Berkeley Free Clinic (BFC)

The Berkeley Free Clinic was founded in 1969 as a "street medicine" clinic that quickly found a niche and a permanent home in the Berkeley community. It has become an icon in the area, and has served countless thousands in a variety of ways during its 45-year history.

If you sign up to volunteer at a Folsom event and select the Major Beneficiary  Berkeley Free Clinic as your beneficiary, please refer any questions to Volunteer Coordinator Rachel at .

Folsom Street Events is proud to support The Berkeley Free Clinic's core operations, which include completely free acute primary medical care, dental care, peer counseling, and referral resources to the community.  As well as services involving sexual health, namely: routine STI and HIV screenings, testing, and treatment for STI symptoms.
