Castro Country Club (CCC)

The Castro Country Club is a clean and sober gathering place for all people and a home for the queer recovery community.

If you sign up to volunteer at a Folsom event and select the Major Beneficiary Castro Country Club as your beneficiary, please refer any questions to Volunteer Coordinator Brandon at

Folsom Street Events will proudly grant a portion of proceeds from our 2017 Fair Season to help fund this touchstone for LGBT sober people in the heart of San Francisco’s Castro neighborhood. Since it first opened its doors in April 1983, the Castro Country Club has helped countless people achieve sobriety by providing a safe refuge for people in recovery to help each other.  Hundreds of people attend over thirty-five self-governing 12-step groups each week. The Castro Country Club provides a venue for the unstructured peer counseling that is at the heart of AA, and job training and skills-building.

You can help earn funds for Castro Country Club this year by volunteering at one of the four events this year:

  • Bay of Pigs dance party on Saturday, July 29 - REGISTER HERE
  • Up Your Alley street fair on Sunday, July 30 - REGISTER HERE
  • Magnitude dance party on Saturday, September 23 - REGISTER HERE
  • Folsom Street Fair on Sunday, September 24 - REGISTER HERE
