Positive Resource Center (PRC)

Positive Resource Center's mission is to assist people affected by or at risk of HIV/AIDS through culturally appropriate counseling, education, training and advocacy. As a result, our clients can make more informed choices that maximize available benefits and employment opportunities.

If you sign up to volunteer at a Folsom event and select Major Beneficiary Positive Resource Center as your beneficiary, please refer any questions to Volunteer Coordinator Cal at cal.callahan@aef-sf.org.

Folsom Street Events is proud to support the newly merged Positive Resource Center with AIDS Emergency Fund and Baker Places, Inc. In this merged agency, they are addressing the social risk factors that impact health outcomes. For many of their clients, these factors include variables such as employment status, housing status, access to income and benefits, and more. In this integrated model of human services provision, they will provide short-term stability by offering emergency financial assistance, mid-term permanence by providing legal representation for access to necessary income and healthcare benefits, and long-term social rehabilitation by offering housing options, employment services and residential treatment.

Specifically, their programs and services include Benefits Counseling, Employment Services, and Emergency Assistance. Baker Places’ substance use and mental health residential treatment programs will come into their care later this year.

You can help earn funds for Positive Resource Center this year by volunteering at one of the four events this year:
